My take on anarchism is that --> it's more of a current reality than most people realize. That every society is a mixture of socialism, capitalism, anarchism, and authoritarianism. That people can choose anarchist solutions for particular problems without waiting for the day when some sort of anarchist revolution topples the state.
Anytime we solve a problem cooperatively, without resorting to hierarchy, without resorting to either state involvement or corporate governance structures, we are living anarchism. If you live together with your partner(s) and you aren't married, you've chosen anarchism. If you start an informal book club with your friends and everybody takes turns hosting the group and choosing the next book, you've chosen anarchism. If a local group of environmentalists meets each Saturday to clean up part of the state park, you've chosen anarchism. If you lie down in the middle of Main Street to protest police violence, you've chosen anarchism. If you pay your babysitter with unreported cash, you've chosen anarchism. Etc. You can increase the anarchist proportion of your life right now.
