almost there
14 November 2020 09:53Cleaning for a visitor is usually a big chore anyway, but there was a lot of stuff on the main level of the house that had been evacuated from the basement for the basement upgrade earlier this week. The main level of the house is now guest-ready, but the entire basement is still a disaster -- can't put back in one morning what took two weekends to pull apart. It's OK, we don't need to spend time in the basement. We'll hang out on the main level and in the hot tub.
T prepared his office for Amy to sleep in. I'm about to clean my bathroom. I've got about an hour before I need to leave the house to pick her up.
T has made a dinner plan for tonight, and a breakfast plan for tomorrow. We're probably all going on a hike this afternoon, Amy and I will spend time in the hot tub after dark. Tomorrow morning Amy and I will go running, and then T will cook breakfast.
I expect we'll play card games and board games in between things. Should be a good time.

T has invited another household to ours for Turkey Day -- the household that had invited us for dinner a while back. T and Brandon keep in touch via Facebook and discuss stuff like "has everybody been isolating well enough to meet for dinner". So, we may have a Turkey Day pod, but they haven't accepted the offer yet.
All the physical work is keeping my arm, shoulder, and back muscles busy -- can't wait to relax in the hot tub later.
Money situation is not an emergency, can put it on hold until next week, when I will find another bolus of energy to throw into that topic. Oh, the water heater people are coming Tuesday morning to fix the leak -- and I am NOT replacing the entire damn thing, just fixing the broken part. Maids are coming Monday, so I'll work from the condo that day. Work stress is under control after I worked two hours yesterday and then delegated the rest.
