play money update, etc.

I closed out my short sale of long-term Treasury bonds with a 12% profit, and my purchase of a commodity index with a 10% profit.  I think these trades would likely bring more profit in the future, but I was pleased to have made the right bets.  My play money account isn't to make big bucks, it's to "put money where mouth is" in addition to LJ punditry.

I'm not sure what I'll trade next, but Fidelity finally approved my application to trade options, so I'll spend some time learning about those.

My innards are quiet this morning, yay!  Some lingering soreness, I put some cortisone cream on that spot.  I'll wait to see whether I need the OTC meds.

I've ordered breakfast from one of my standard restaurants, then I've got the entire day and night to chill :-)

Steve and I agreed to have a snuggle date after we're both vaccinated.  I miss snuggles!  I get an occasional hug from T, but he's not been into snuggles for years.  The pets are my main source of snuggles these days -- Dax and Astrid more than Sam.

post-vaccine To Do List

No idea yet when this will happen, but here's my To Do List for After the Vaccine:

• Dental checkup
• Professional haircut
• Annual physical
• Renew driver's license
• Travel to Portland, OR to visit K and MAB
• Gather with family
• Snuggle date w/ Steve
• Download hookup apps, schedule play dates, ask fellas for permission to cum (48 days so far!)

More broadly, after everybody who wants the vaccine has received it in the US: board game parties, our annual Christmas Eve orphans party, indoor dining, concerts & theater.  Hopefully the monthly spanking parties will resume?

It's been great never having a respiratory illness during Quarantine.  After I resume socializing I'll probably resume having a few colds each year, and about half of them will kick off multi-day asthma attacks like before.  Nobody misses the multi-day asthma attacks!

And I'll definitely continue getting my annual flu shots, as well as any COVID booster shots that come along.  I'm 100% pro-vaccination.  I want all the shots!

Teen Wolf, LOL

Never watched it, was browsing endlessly on all the different streaming services and saw this and thought I'd try it for kicks.  All the cute white 20-year-olds pretending to be high school students.  I wonder what the effect on real high students was, watching all these "teen" dramas growing up while represented by hot white adults.

I can't help but think about how it compares to Buffy, though it came 14 years later.  Even 10 years ago it was OK to have all-white casts?

This was an MTV show?  I remember when MTV started making that shift from music videos to original programming.  When I was in college we watched MTV for the music videos, which were still a new thing back then.

One of these Teen Wolf actors looks a lot like one of my younger coworkers, heh.  Same baby face, same haircut.

This is Bug with way too much time on his hands, watching old supernatural high school dramas, heh.  Supposedly it gets a gay character and stuff later?  Lots of shirtless young guys in the locker room ... I wish I could be snuggling with somebody while I laugh at this show.
