m_d_hI reread one of my favorite kinky romance novels by one of my favorite authors, that author I'm now "Twitter friends" with -- we chat every weekend or two. I'd commissioned a short story from him, gave him a good idea that he used.
At that moment in the novel when the two protagonists finally proclaim their love for each other, I cried, even though I've read it before.
I'm needing comfort fiction and comfort television these days, revisiting some of my favorites.
I wish he'd written a sequel about this couple, I like them so much! They continue to exist as minor characters in a few of his later novels.

Today my workday is kind of chopped up by four meetings each spaced 60-90 minutes apart. It's difficult to get momentum going on a project when my day is chopped up like this.
Instead of a lunch break, I took a nap for an hour.

Went on a hike with Dax this morning, I've been alternating morning runs with morning hikes. Today could've been a weight lifting day also but the chopped-up nature of the work day makes that difficult also. I can lift weights tomorrow.
Also tomorrow -- T leaves for his week-to-self at the beach. We're having a date night tonight. I'm looking forward to a weekend to myself at the house!
Last night I hopped in the hot tub for about an hour -- haven't been hot tubbing nearly enough during Quarantine, partly because that summer humidity sucked, partly because it's rained a lot and we have a healthy colony of mosquitoes in the backyard, partly because I've spent so many weekends at the condo.

Scheduled the basement repair for the week of November 9th, that gives us two weekends to move all the storage and shelving out of the way -- this will be a huge chore, I might not be able to take a weekend at the condo for a while. I might need to take a workday off for a break at the condo. I'll try to start moving stuff while T is away -- I'll put what I think are infrequently used items into the crawl space. Maybe if I get a good head start on things, it won't take that long to finish it after T returns.
