Cheri Huber's definition of "Ego"

Cheri Huber was one of the four Buddhist authors who most influenced me last time around.  I have several of her books in softcover.  One is called, "When You're Falling, Dive", from 2003.

In the author's prefatory note to the reader, she defines "Ego" as: the experience of feeling oneself to be separate from life, separate from the present moment, or (in religious language) separate from your Deity/Pantheon.
