As I prepared for bed after watching an interesting foreign film (more on that later), I had a horrible stomach ache.  My stomach felt as though I hadn't eaten anything all day, which was blatantly false, I'd had my normal three meals and two snacks.  It was cramping hard.  I took some antacid pills, hoping that would help, but it didn't.  Then I ate a Clif Bar, though eating meant I had to create a pile of pillows so I wasn't horizontal as I tried to fall asleep (because GERD).  The combo of antacid and Clif Bar and a sleeping pill eventually got me to sleep.  But I woke after 90 minutes needing to pee, and then my heart was racing like I was having a panic attack WTF.

Eventually fell asleep for another 90 minutes, upon getting up to pee again -- I stepped into broken glass!!! -- apparently Astrid had knocked over my glass of water onto the floor, and I'd slept through the noise.  I did not cut myself, but obviously I had to turn on the lights and clean up the glass, which left me wide awake at 3am.  This was the third broken glass in a week -- each pet has now broken one glass in the past week.

Finally slept for more than 90 minutes, woke with the sun at 7:30am, not feeling well rested at all.

My stomach is feeling better, and my heart isn't racing.  T suggests I take a sick day, but there's nothing on my calendar anyway this week, I can probably just monitor emails and rest this morning.  I will stretch later, and then maybe run 3 miles this afternoon.  Maybe I can help T to set up the new video screen in our basement gym so we can start doing exercise videos in the gym -- I'd like to do yoga again tomorrow.

We're probably having our now-traditional date night on Thursday night AKA New Year's Eve, perhaps pizza and red wine.  I would not be surprised if we were both in bed before midnight.  Then I hope to disappear to the condo for a night or two.

Although my back pain isn't 100% gone, it sort of comes and goes at a lower level than last week.  I don't feel disabled like I did last week.  I'm trying to resume normal activities along with the daily stretching and 3x/week foam rolling.  So this morning I stretched and foam rolled, and this afternoon I ran 3 miles.  So far so good.  Tomorrow I will probably restart the weight lifting.  Yoga again on Friday?  Each day stretching plus something else, with one or two days off each week.

The regular meal kit shipments keep arriving, even though we're still catching up with the Christmas deluge.  With today's shipment (it arrived early because of the New Year holiday) we've got 9x2 meals in the fridge.  But the next shipment shouldn't arrive for nine days, so if we cook one meal per day we'll catch up.
