March 1st!  Coming up on one year of Quarantine.

This morning I logged onto my work computer a couple hours early, because an "emergency" had popped up after 6pm on Friday evening, and I wanted to see what people had said about it over the weekend.  There was a multi-agency meeting scheduled to discuss this "emergency" at 8:30am this morning, which is before my tour of duty officially begins, so I'm glad I checked.  At least one of the people on the call lives on the West Coast so that was 5:30am for him.  Fun.

I was able to broker a solution to the "emergency" by suggesting language to use in the disputed sentence.  As different people on the call said, "I like what Bug suggested," I kept going "Yes!!" while listening on mute, heh, like my sports team was scoring goals.

After the call I stretched.  I'm hoping to run 3 miles this afternoon after the rain clears out.  My first vigorous exercise since before the Food Poisoning, way back on Tuesday morning.

Meteorologists view March 1 as the beginning of spring weather in the Northern Hemisphere.  We're having a cool, rainy, and windy day to kick things off here.  It rained a lot over the weekend, and overnight, but our basement is fine, the $$$$$ drainage fix is doing its job.  We'll generally be having highs around 50 and lows around freezing for a while.

T surprised me by cooking dinner last night, and as usual when he cooks the food tastes (and looks) great.  So it is my turn to clean the kitchen, dishes, pots & pans, and then I'll probably cook this evening.

B's husband visited him for several days last week, so T hasn't seen him in a while, but they're getting along well.  B is thinking about buying property in the area instead of continuing to rent, saying that he's content with his employer and his career path and is ready to commit to living here for a while.

I helped K with his 2020 income taxes over the weekend, and we updated the net monthly cost of keeping the condo.  It's a modest increase from before, I'll have no problem sharing that expense with him until we figure out next steps.  For now, K officially still lives there, because he officially still works in DC, but after his DC office reopens he may formally transfer to the Portland office.

Dax has surgery on Thursday ... I would consider it to be elective surgery, and I'm not sure I'd put him through it if the decision were solely mine to make.  But T agrees with the vet's recommendation to have several benign growths removed, so we'll go ahead and do it.  I'm prepared to stick around the house this weekend to assist with the Dax recovery if needed, but T might go to B's apartment anyway or go condo hunting with him, so I may be managing Dax on my own for a while?

My FMJ has cleared customs in Australia and is awaiting its international flight to the US.

Should be less than five months until After the Vaccine now ...
