I spent three nights by myself at the condo, had a wonderfully relaxing time, returned to the house still feeling relaxed.  I'll get ready for a 3-mile run in a few minutes.  After I get back I'll start prep for Maids Day tomorrow, and I'll cook dinner tonight.

Meanwhile, I feel like there's an epidemic of restaurants not double-checking their delivery bags before they go out.  I had three items missing from my bagel delivery this morning.  The last time I ordered donuts for delivery the driver showed up without any donuts, bringing only the breakfast sandwich I'd ordered on the side.  I ordered for the second time from a neighborhood family-owned restaurant and they forgot both T's salad and the desert we'd intended to share, so I doubt there will be a third time.

There have been other periods in my adult life when I felt like the bottom fell out of customer service all at once throughout the economy, and it was during other economic boom periods when unemployment was low.  Places get understaffed and hire inexperienced people without enough training or oversight.

I judge customer service much more harshly than T does, he prefers to give places a second chance.  For me, if you ship out a meal missing more than one item you aren't trying to be accurate, so I'll move on to a different restaurant and give them a chance next time.  There's more than one bagel shop in town.

I have my critiques of the market economy, but if you want to be a for-profit customer-facing shop you need to do the basics like at least delivering what was ordered.
