trying to connect with my nephew, like, I know your pain, I've been living it for 36 more years than you have, and it's OK, without being condescending, which was a criticism I've struggled with, I'm sure this entire LJ (I mean DW) is condescending,

imagine if I'd had a gay Communist uncle when I was 18,
yeah, but, trying to not be condescending, but that might be part of the Bug package,
