With the techonolgy to make films getting old enough, this would indeed become a possibility. Until now, it isn't so really because it's not old enough. For example, you don't have films straight from the Middle Ages or so. And the only kind of "photography" that existed back then was forging paintings. But those don't necessarily have to reflect the reality from back then or how something truly was, even if claiming or trying to depicture the scene. So... well, this is a thing to make possible just now as the technical possibility to catching moving object's movements on film comes to exist for a longer time already.
